2009-10-02 Navan

reviewed by Beate

I'm just back from Navan and tonight was really special - not only did the setlist surprise me with two songs that were "firsts" for me, it also contained a good few favourites of mine.

Here it is:

The town I loved so well
Cailin Rua
Finnegan's wake
The holy city
How great thou art
Hard times
strong winds
Children's choir (2 songs)
So strong (with choir)
Nessun Dorma (with choir)

Silent sunlight
If I fell
You ain't going nowhere
Come what may
Wanted man
Fearless love
mad lady and me
I'll tell me Ma
Remember Me

Encore Time to say goodbye

However... The real special thing I mentioned (stealing the spotlight from the tenors here!) was the children's choir - they were really good (and really cute). There were several solo parts sung by different children in the two songs - three girls, and one boy, the latter being little Sean Gilsenan!

More to follow...
