Deirdre took the picture!
... of us in the private jet

Yes, Deirdre took the picture, and here she is - I took this one! A nice picture, eh? The inflight movie was called "Ireland - the East Coast" and we had to look out the windows to view it. When we took off from Waterford Airport, we immediately had beautiful aerial views of Tramore Strand, the oldest lighthouse in Europe at Hook Head in wexford, Wexford, Curracloe Beach where "Saving Private Ryan" was filmed, the Wicklow Mountains including Lugnaquilla which I have now climbed twice, then Greystones, Bray, the Sugarloaf, the Wicklow Mountains etc etc, all in bright sunshine and blue skies. Better than any movie. Incredible, a real privilege. Also have some aerila pics.

Maybe we can have a competition later on, to see how many songs titles from the four albums can be got into one paragraph? A little brief story of maybe not more than 150/200 words, to see how many titles you can include? But it HAS to make sense. Maybe that can be the next competition? Again, they can be sent in anonymous? So we can judge them unbiased?

Our weekend was amazing. Singing at the Fiann Fail Ard Fheis was great fun, seeing all our famous politicians all look up at us, and then stand up when we finished singing. 5000 people seemed happy. Nice to get a mention in the Irish Independent too, they didn't have to mention us, nice.

The concerts in Waterford were humbling, on many levels. It is nice to be able to raise money for such worthwhile projects. Daryl said he would explain more about that soon. But basically over 60,000 was raised to help this housing project in Nicaragua - 12 houses can be built with the money. There were some very tearful moments in the concert. One girl from Omagh, called Claire, deserves special mention. She was blinded by that horrific bomb which destroyed the centre of Daryl's home town, and is now totally blind. she is a beautiful girl, and so brave, and inspiring. She accompanied the choir on the liano while they sang "Danny Boy". Inspirational lady. she is getting married next Summer, and the choir are providing the music for her Wedding Day. Just one story from an emotional evening. Daryl and Phil Brennan deserve special mention for their GREAT work.

Take care, all of you, and I send each and every one of you a warm heartfelt squoosh!
James.
