2006-02-08 a message from James

I hope each and every one of you is well, and see some of you soon.

Now look, do not even bring a notebook and pen into the auditorium, do not attempt to write down the order, it doesn't really matter does it? It will be much the same as usual? Mostly the same stuff... Just sit back and enjoy the show, please, promise?

A little bit of news now. This week is my 200th week writing columns for the Sligo Weekender. TWO HUNDRED weeks!! That is four years. That is a lot of columns. 700 words each, and double at Christmas, I make that almost 150,000 words!! How many novels I wonder? I have been finding it increasingly difficult to find topics over the last while. I am not a journalist. It has been fun. I have asked the paper if I can stop, but they have asked me to continue. We have come to a compromise, and so, from the beginning of April, I am writing just one a month, and see if I can keep that up. Time to give others a chance. And it means I am not giving it up altogether. I just thought I would let you all know. They have not informed the readers yet, ok?

Thank you all for your support along the way. Sorry I didn't always say what some of you wanted to hear, but hey, that is my preogative, eh?

Well,as I say, hope you are all well. Love to each and every one of you, and see some of you soon,

James.
