2005-12-16 a message from James

Hello All, Well, greetings form an Internet cafe in Amsterdam.

We are almost finished another tour. Tonight is the last concert, sold out we believe, in a beautiflu church north of Amsterdam in St Nicolaasga. Tomorrow we go home. Hard to believe we have hardly been at home apart from a few days, since October when we saw Linda and Gary at Wilmington! Seems so long ago, oh yes, it is!!

Great to have seen so many of you during our Dutch tour ....... Ute and Uli, Gabi and Klaus, Veronika and Helmut, Bettina and family, Rianne, Anja, Beate, Andrea, Miss Kroes, Christel, Sigrid, Margaret and Lord Harding!

Thanks to so many of you for amazing reviews - Ute, John, Veronika, Beate, Anja, Rianne, Andrea and others who I will get in trouble for forgetting!! Great to read such positive reports. And yes, Ute, we are working on "Ten THousand Tears" which we will probably do in the USA in March, and then hopefully after that too.......

Thanks to so many fo you for cards and gifts too!! Allene, thank you for your generosity. And to many others to mention, sorry, though I feel that the cheeky Swabian deserves a mention for leading her tenors to believe we were receiving chocolates.......instead we receieved beautifully hand-made stars. Much more healthy - I have not even finished eating the first one yet!!

Paddy, thanks for 'shopping Celtic' this year, hope the recipients are happy with their gifts. So I think you all by now know about the shoe, and Niall has got quite enough sympathy now for his ankle!!

Yes my goatee is gone, and it has been amazing how many have commented on the lack of chin-fluff! So one night ROb put a bit of black masking tape on my chin!

We ALWAYS adore our Dutch tour. We love our apartments in Amsterdam, and being able to have some sort of daily life and less travel, though Dutch traffic is some of the worst we have seen, really.Rush hour on the motorways.......AGH!

Of course every tour has its low points - despite full houses almost every night, there were tiny crowds in Spijkinisse, Nijmegen and even Breda, though of course quality ruled over quantity!! It was great to have familiar faces in each of the above venues, and the reaction EVERY night was always great, without exception. And the "In-store" at 'Fame' is definitely best-forgotten!!!!

Finally, to you all - Prettige Kerstdagen, Frohe Weihnachten, Nollaig Shona duit go leir, Joyeux Noel, Feliz Navidad - HAPPY CHRISTMAS! And have a WONDERFUL 2006, all of you.

Love to you all,
