"Album of the Year" Award 2007

The Celtic Tenors have been nominated for the No Celtic Boundaries "Album of the Year" Award. You can now vote for The Celtic Tenors or any of of these outstanding albums.

Firstly let me thank you for voting in this years Album of the Year Awards. This thanks comes from both myself and all Artists behind this years amazing selection of Albums.

Let me remind you that last years winner was the amazing Deirdre Shannon with her Debut Album ‘Deirdre Shannon’

Last Years votes came from the number of requests and e mails that I received during the course of the year. Because of Deirdre only bringing out her album on October 1st 2006, she really only had 3 months of requests in comparison to the rest. She won by an amazing 176 votes ahead of her nearest rival.

A lot of you have, apart from voting, requested particular tracks and also enquired about the actual programme itself. I will do what I can regarding requests. These will be aired on Highlander Radio (www.celticradio.net) as well as Lochbroom FM here in Scotland and on Triple U FM in New South Wales in Australia.

Regarding the actual programme itself, a lot of this can be gained from the website www.nocelticboundaries.com or www.nocelticboundaries.co.uk but it is an independant programme dedicated to some of the finest Celtic music from around the world. The show is produced in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland and then broadcast on three great stations.

Wherever you are in the world, the show can be heard on www.celticradio.net but maybe you have a local station to you that could do with a bit more Celtic Music or Celtic Music that still is not 100yrs behind the times. Let me know about them and their contact details and I will see if they might be interested in taking on this growing programme.

Now that the voting is well under way, let me tell you that as we stand at present (24th November 2007), The Irish Descendants from Newfoundland have gone into a storming lead with 2nd place currently being The Bible Code Sundays from London. 3rd place currently goes to The Elders from Kansas. Currently in 4th Place are the Celtic Tenors from Ireland, and currently in joint 5th place is Ciaran Dorris from N. Ireland and Hugh Morrison from Scotland. There have been well over 1000 votes cast already. Ideally I would like to reach something in the region of 20,000 votes before voting closes on Christmas Eve 2007 .

Now might be the moment to open your e mail address books and forward this letter on to get more and more people voting. It might also introduce a lot more people to this great world of music that we all love.

Thank you once again for voting and from us all at No Celtic Boundaries wish you all a very happy Christmas

Charles / No Celtic Boundaries
